Woman reveals the reason of setting herself on fire before her death
Snoor Jabar was born in 1996, at 1:00 AM Thursday February 7, 2013, she set herself on fire to escape from all the pressures on her. She was living in Qarablakh village in Koks sub-district, Kifri district.
Warvin published a speech earlier of a close source from the incident saying: “the woman was threatened by her family because they found out she has a love affair with a guy”
The source explained that directorate of trace violence in Garmian got involved in the issue, so the judge decided to send the woman to the women’s shelter in Slemani.
Later, the guy’s family asked for the girl’s had and both families agreed on the marriage, 3 months ago they solved the issue and got married
The woman’s family told the officials that Snoor burnt herself due to the pressures from her husband.
After the incident, Snoor arrived at Kalar Hospital immediately, during the first police investigation, Snoor denied that she has burnt herself; instead she told the police that the cook exploded.
The medical report showed that %96 of her body was burnt and this made them realize it is intentional.
Snoor was struggling with the sorrow and grief of her wounds in Slemani burn center for 10 days, Snoor’s father file a complaint, so police interrogated the girl again, after she got disappointed from living her life again, she revealed the truth.
According to a police official’s speech, during the interrogation on Thursday February 14, 2013, Snoor said: “my husband tied my hands up and banned me from eating and drinking”
She gave the police office more details and said: “I was all alone in a room, hungry and tired; I told my husband, please unbind my hand and at least let me eat something; I have not ate for 2 days. When he did that, I took a chance and poured gasoline all over my body and set myself on fire to escape from the sorrow”.
After revealing the truth, at 10:00 PM February 16, 2013, Snoor Jabar left her sorrowful life full of grief and disappointment
Based on her family’s complaint, the judge inspector decided to detain Snoor’s husband.
