Warvin foundation announced the results of the first survey on women status in Iraq

viva March 8 International Women's Day, I have an idea that all women should be strong throw out all the wicked men who can not respect women, even those who were beaten like that wicked men to post pictures of the man to be known to all women in the world that women abusers man, especially Iranian women should protest against Islamic madmen law against women
Warvin foundation announced the results of the first survey on women status in Iraq.

In the press conference, which was held on Monday February 25, 2013 in Goran hall – chwarchra hotel in Hawler. Women activists and representatives of women's foundation and organization in Kurdistan region, Kirkuk and other parts of Iraq attended the press conference. Lanja Abdulla, head of warvin's foundation for women issues presented a summary on the reason of conducting the survey.

In her speech, Lanja Abdulla stated that until now in the south and middle parts of Iraq, they have not seriously worked on collecting statistics and data on violence cases against women. Warvin's survey shows the reality of women status in 15 governorates and it’s the first widespread attempt which is conducted by a women's foundation.
"Violence against women is a bitter truth in Iraq and we should not talk about it verbally without having any data and statistics, because talking about the violence alone will not improve the women's condition. Everybody should put their efforts and work to collect real time data and present the information to the government and the local and international organizations so they work on eliminating the violence." She added
Later, Bayan Azizi, women activist presented the results of the survey to the attendees via data show, she explained the data and the statistics.
Despite presenting the results of the survey, Lanja Abdulla answered the questions of the Kurdish and Iraqi channels.
The survey was conducted at the end of 2012 in 15 Iraqi governorates, it consists of 52 pages and it has been conducted with cooperation of USAID orgnzaiton.
Despite the concluding the introduction and collecting the data of the survey, they discussed united nation's definition of women and domestic violence
The mental, physical, social and financial violence were also discussed in the survey
At the end, the results and the suggestions presented to the officials.
Warvin foundation for women's issues) is a non-profit NGO which was founded in 2009; our objective is to( show the women’s condition and defending their rights and freedoms. The HQ is located in Hawler, the capital of the Kurdistan region, the foundation owns (warvin.org) website to report the Kurdish and Iraqi women’s status.
